VINYL RECORD DESIGN

A redesign of the album packaging that was randomly exchanged from the class. The design includes the cover of the package, the lysrics sheets and the record itself.

The album that I was been given was Chemtrails Over the Country Club, by Lana Del Rey.

FRONT

I think this song describes women in a beautiful way with a touch of poignancy. I likened the flowers to women. I chose to make the flowers on the cover in a metallic-like color to reflect the strong, independent and autonomous side of women. The back side was made to look a bit wilted to show the fragile side of women that can sometimes be hidden.

The mv of this song tells the story of a peaceful and happy town where women dress up in gorgeous clothes during the day and hang out with their friends in the market, painting and enjoying life leisurely. But at night the women transform into werewolves and dance with the wolves. But in the day time will change back to human, wash the body stains, back to their loved ones.

I chose a more understated dark blue tone for the lyrics page, while the pattern on the CD was chosen with the same metallic model design of butterflies and flowers.
